Railers Fall Learn to Skate (LTS) and Learn to Play Hockey (LTP) classes are a 7-week long program, with one 50 minute long session per week. Skates are available to rent if needed and you are welcome to bring your own if you have them (make sure they are sharpened prior to class).
All participants need to provide their own helmet, long pants, gloves/mittens.
Parents do NOT participate on the ice with the children.
ALL FIRST TIME LEARN TO SKATE PARTICIPANTS NEED TO SELECT THE BEGINNER LEVEL.
If your skater has previously passed a Learn to Skate level please check the certificate or the badge they received before enrolling for a class. **For example** If they received a badge that says SNOWPLOW SAM 1, you will be enrolling them for Snowplow Sam 2. If they received a certificate of participation you will be enrolling them in the class listed on that certificate. If you are still unsure, please contact Dina at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please email Dina with any special circumstances your child may have, that would aid in us teaching him or her the sport of skating.
How to register:
- All Learn to Skate participants must register with Learn to Skate USA and use Massachusetts Ice Skating Club of Worcester for program. All Learn to Play participants must register with USA Hockey (affiliation – Jr. Railer’s).
- WAIVER form must be completed in order to skate.
- After steps 1 & 2 are completed click “Continue to registration” button at bottom of page.
If your skater has not been registered with the proper organization as listed above or does not have a signed waiver completed, they will not be allowed on the ice.
Thank you for choosing to skate at the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center!
